Pima Air & Space Museum
6000 East Valencia Road
http://www.pimaair.org

Pima Air & Space Museum is one of the largest museums of its type in the world. It has nearly 300 aircraft on display. Much of it is outside, so be sure to dress appropriately and bring some bottled water.

We will meet at the museum, 6000 East Valencia Road, at 9am, Saturday, May 17th. The admission fee is $13.50.

Kitt Peak National Observatory
http://www.noao.edu/outreach/kpoutreach.html

Kitt Peak houses the worlds largest collection of optical telescopes. It is on the Tohono O'odham reservation, about 50 miles from Downtown Tucson. Just get on Ajo Way and drive west until you see the turn off.

There are no food services on the mountain, so be sure to bring food and drinks. The altitude is almost 7000ft, and is usually about 20 degrees cooler than Tucson, so dress accordingly. The drive up the mountain is on a very good paved road. Once at the top, there are several telescopes to visit within an easy walk of the parking lot, and some nice views of the surrounding desert. The walking areas on the peak are mostly paved, but can be fairly steep.

Admission is free, although there are guided tours available for $4 per person.

We will probably set up some kind of car pool for this. More information soon ...
