Club Camera Tucson members like to compete and critique. And we give you the opportunity to show off your best work, have it evaluated by professionals and by other members, and see how you stack up.
Changes, Developments, A Brave New World
In response to our members' desire for broader forums in which to discuss their work and to learn from their peers, Club Camera is starting regular critique forums. Going forward the club will alternate monthly between competitions and critiques.
In addition we are also changing the categories used for competition and the criteria for software-based post-processing.
For both the competitions and the critiques, users will submit their images via Score 27. Be sure to read the Submission Guidelines.

Every other month one of our two monthly meetings is devoted to a friendly competition. We frequently bring in an outside professional photographer to judge the competition; at other times judges come from the club membership.
- We have four categories, the last three of which are projected:
- Prints:
Printed images of any subject and methodology.
- Nature:
Landscapes, seascapes, flowers, wildlife and the like.
- Hand of Man:
People, cityscapes, manmade objects and the like.
- Imaginative/Creative:
Heavily manipulated images that explore an
inner reality.
- Prints:
Printed images of any subject and methodology.
- Projected images must be submitted as jpgs via Score 27.
- At the end of the year we award Best Of ribbons.

In alternating months one of our two monthly meetings is devoted to a members' critique. Each member can submit one or two images. The member briefly introduces his or her image and then other members offer their opinions. The critques are moderated so that the discussions remain focused and pointed. This is a terrific opportunity for members to learn from each other.
